A Note From Security

Dear Riverbend Residents,

It has come to our attention that there has been vehicle 'break ins' in our neighborhood in recent weeks. Thus, it is time to send out a notice that reminds you all to do the little things you can to keep would be criminals at bay:

  • Primarily, it is important to lock your Cars, Trucks and SUV's; and to not leave valuables in your vehicle. Easy, lucrative access will keep thieves coming back.
  • Second, if you have a poorly lit home, you may consider getting a floodlight that is activated via motion sensor in your carport, driveway and/or back porch area.
  • Finally, we all need to be cognizant of our surroundings and look out for our neighbors. If you suspect a person is a non-resident of Riverbend and up to no good, you should not confront him or her; you should call law enforcement.

It is most important to also remember that Riverbend is one of the safest neighborhoods in all of Baton Rouge. There is no reason for alarm or worry because of a few incidents, but it is important to remain vigilant on the little things to make our neighborhood even safer! If you have not received an e-mail in the last week regarding what is going on in Riverbend Subdivsion, please send your e-mail address to: thelink@riverbendsub.org. As always, you can also go to a www.riverbendsub.org for any news that we know about in the subdivision.
